Business Focus Group Format Prepare the group about our purpose: "We’ve invited you here today so that you can let us know what you think of a tool we have developed that we think might address your needs around getting qualified job applicants to apply for your job openings. We are very anxious to do things in a way that makes it easier for you to get relevant information from job seekers. By us, I mean all of the agencies that are part of the employment and training system within your community (WorkSource Whatcom: list agencies; Skagit Career Center: list) "I appreciate your coming here this morning and I will have you out of here in 90 minutes. I would be happy to provide a copy of today’s results along with the improvements we will make to any of you who would like it. Please sign in and let’s take a minute to get some refreshments. The Tool: "Here is a the tool we have developed that we think might address your needs. The purpose of the tool is to assist businesses in getting the right applicants the first time. What we have developed is a job order form with which customers are able to screen themselves or have staff screen against criteria designated by you, the employer. Ultimately this will be an electronic tool, easily accessed by both business and job seeking customers of the WorkSource System. "We will go through this form by sections.
